I’m not saying that touch is necessarily better than the mouse pointer. However, there exist other mechanisms to do the same task.

We are thinking in terms of current computing paradigms of a laptop/desktop with a mouse attached. Heck even a laptop comes with a trackpad (which is often better than the mouse depending on the use case and build).

Touching a pixel can be done with a mouse as well as by pointing a pen to the screen. Again these are only speculations at the moment and only time will tell. :)
