My guess is that the mouse will die away as a mode of input.

As far as cursors go, cursors are great. No two ways about it.

I’ve never mentioned only touch is a better. However it is better to point to things directly rather than through an appendage which does not have direct relationship with the output. That’s the hypothesis.

The NNG report talks about pros and cons of a mouse vs touch. The mouse is better for precision. However, I believe the stylus is even better for the same task.

Many of us have been conditioned to use a mouse. It does not mean it’s a better interaction mechanism.
